Expert review of Jolesch
Jolesch's calm atmosphere and large menu makes it the perfect place to escape the chaos of the busy city.
This Austrian-style restaurant offers traditional favourites like Wiener Schnitzel and goulash, along with international dishes like lobster carpaccio and red-beet tagliatelle. If you come in the morning, try the Tiroler Frühstücksteller (Tyrolean breakfast platter) with a large selection of meats, along with one of their excellent coffees.
The Wiener Schnitzel here is highly regarded by many.
The cosy, green-coloured salon has large windows where you can watch the street outside. It is a nice place to relax after a day’s sightseeing - since the restaurant is open from noon to midnight, it's possible to swing by at practically any time of day.
Very friendly and geniune.
Centrally located in the Friedrichshain district, close to Görlitzer Bahnhof subway.
Evening dishes are 10-18 euros and the three-course lunch is 9.50 euros.
