Expert review of Cookies Cream
Vegetarians, foodies and clubbers alike will love this place. It's by no means easy to find, but then that's partly the idea. Cookies Cream is the official restaurant of Cookies, one of Berlin's best known clubs. It serves very good vegetarian food and diners get easy access to the party happening downstairs.
Delicious and creative vegetarian cuisine is prepared in a large open kitchen. Dishes include parmesan dumplings with cilantro carrots and pumpkin-lime soup with chutney. There are also well-balanced and imaginative set menus to choose from, a large wine list plus a selection of original - and good - cocktails.
The restaurant is above Cookies nightclub, where fellow diners are likely to be heading afterwards (entry is free if you dine at the restaurant). It has a stark, warehouse or loftspace feel, with exposed, roughly painted concrete walls, low ceilings and minimal decoration such as the restaurant's regular art exhibitions.
Cool, casual and friendly.
The restaurant is in an alley behind the Westin Grand in the Mitte district. It is tricky to find, but the website shows you click-through step-by-step instructions on how to arrive there.
Dinner for two with drinks is around 100 euros.
