Singapore

Why go to Singapore?
Food: noodles for less than a fiver
Singapore is a food lover’s heaven. There are thousands of restaurants to choose from serving cuisine from all around the world with everything from fine dining to fusion. But Singapore arguably has some of the best street food in Asia. The hawker stalls are first rate and dirt-cheap - you could get a bowl of noodles for less than a fiver.
Everything works
Singapore is the model of efficiency. Almost everything runs on time, you might encounter the odd traffic jam, but you certainly won’t find any public transport strikes. Almost everyone speaks English, so getting around isn’t a problem for international visitors.
It's clean
A no–chewing gum policy means the streets are pretty clean. Buses, trains and taxis are spotless and air-conditioned and you certainly won’t see a homeless person sleeping on the streets. It’s also graffiti free.
