Making money through our partnerships

With my background of running Travelsupermarket and historic relationships with the major travel players in the UK we have seen a strong start to setting up a large range of commercial relationships with the leading travel players. Importantly we have been able to negotiate strong deals with these providers as they view Simonseeks as a site that will deliver much larger volumes of business in the months to come.

Within the site we are consistently working on improving monetisation of each of the guides uploaded. Since launch we have built up a database of over 130k hotels, which when any of these hotels are recommended in a guide and booked by a user, you will get paid a commission from the booking. Users get the choice to compare and book with over 15 major Hotel providers including giant brands like Lastminute.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Laterooms, Superbreak.com, ebookers, Booking.com and more specialist based sites such as Mr and Mrs Smith and iescape.

A new area we are rolling out is money saving guides which will be promoted on each of the destination guides and will give users coming to the site the best way to book car hire, hotels, flights, travel insurance, attractions and restaurants. We have already launched our car hire money saving guide, which has been written by our Editor, Nick Trend, and includes commercialised links to the top car hire providers. These include price comparison sites such as Travelsupermarket, Carrentals and Kayak, plus top brokers like Holiday Autos, Auto Europe, Opodo and Easycar.

The hotel and flight money saving guides will be added to destination guides in the next 2-4 weeks. The hotel guide will include our current 15 Hotel partners but we will also be adding providers that cover Airport Hotels like Holiday Extras and APH and Hotel chains direct such as Marriott and Hilton.

The flights guide will have links and commercial deals in place with Travelsupermarket, Skyscanner, Lastminute, Opodo, Ebookers, Virgin Atlantic, BA and many more, where again, providing users book a hotel or flight, you will share in the commission we receive.

Once this is completed we will then be working on monetising attractions, restaurants and holiday companies for you.
