I’ve lived in Manchester all of my life and have seen the city and the hotel scene change dramatically.
All of the hotels and b&bs that I recommend are the best of their kind whether they are friendly b&bs such as Brooklands Lodge or five-star luxurious options such as Radisson Edwardian Manchester.
I have visited and inspected every hotel on my list and would happily go back to each one to stay. Not all of my recommended places to stay are in the city centre but each one enjoys close proximity to a key attraction, or is very near to a good range of bars and restaurants.
I am always on the lookout for new recommendations. If you don’t agree with one of my choices as you have had a bad experience there, or think that I have missed a great hotel, please leave a comment and let me know.
* Simonseeks has given star ratings out of five for all accommodation
recommendations. With hotels, these will tally with the hotel's official star rating where
it exists. Where a hotel has no official star rating, and in the case of b & bs and hostels,
the experts have made a judgment as to how many stars the accommodation deserves, in terms
of comfort, level of facilities and so forth.
