Cheap and cheerful hostel in a convenient location – plus good value for money.
The cheapest place I know to stay in Malta (if you are willing to share a room) and it is welcoming with decent facilities too.
Location:
Just off the waterfront where Sliema joins St Julian’s at Belluta Bay. It's a few minutes walk to all the bars and restaurants of St Julian’s. A few minutes too from the Sliema sea front and rocks to swim off.
Bedrooms:
Basic but bright – mostly pine and shades of blue. Very decent for the price. Rooms have between two and eight beds, bathroom/shower (some a bit run down), and a kitchenette. Dorm rooms are divided by gender so if you want to be together as a couple you need a smaller room or to join up with friends.

Public areas:
On the ground floor there is a lounge and TV and breakfast room that I find more welcoming than the pulbic rooms of many more expensive places. There is a also a row of computers available for use at a small charge, a coin-operated laundry and a snack vending machine.
Eating and drinking:
Breakfast only, which is included in the price – a cold buffet that is considerably more than a basic continental.
Service:
Reception is open each morning, the rest of the time staff are on the end of a phone. Card keys are provided for getting in and out when reception is closed.

Cleanliness needs very much attention. Management needs to take action in upgrading. Breakfast always same. I will never go there again.
