Chic elegance and traditional charm in a perfect Sevillano setting.
Newly opened (February 2010) the Hotel Casa 1800 is a converted Sevillano home that offers comfort and attention to detail in superb surroundings at affordable prices. The building has been beautifully restored and the service is top-notch.
Location:
Fabulous location on the edge of the Barrio Santa Cruz. I love that it's so close to all the main monuments, the shops, and that it has plenty of tapas bars and restaurants nearby.
Bedrooms:
There are 24 very tastefully decorated rooms, in soft brocades with exposed light brick walls and beamed ceilings, ranging from standard double rooms to lovely top floor suites with private jacuzzis. Three of the main floor rooms have their own private patio. The bathrooms are gorgeously modern and come with a nice selection of natural toiletries. All rooms have flat screen satellite TV, minibar with free mineral water and free WiFi.

Public areas:
There's a small lounge area with one public computer in the lobby, a lovely Sevillano patio, very comfortably furnished with plush chairs and marble tables, and a rooftop terrace with tables and chairs, and a spectacular view of the Cathedral and Giralda tower.
Eating and drinking:
Breakfast is a nice buffet that includes hot items and can be taken in the downstairs patio or brought up to your room or the rooftop terrace.There is a complimentary Afternoon Tea from 4-8pm with very good sandwiches, sweets, tea, coffee, juice & water, which more than makes up for breakfast not being included in the price of the room.
Service:
Staff are genuinely helpful, and most speak English.
