Expert review of Hotel Abba Triana
If you want stylish comfort at affordable prices take a chance on Seville's Abba Hotel.
The thing I like best about the Abba Hotel (why do I always start singing Waterloo?) is their spectacular 5-storey atrium with glass lifts and a kind of jungly theme going on. In fact the whole reception/atrium area is quite striking. I always recommend it for people travelling by car, and it's also a good location if you prefer not to stay in the downtown touristy areas.
Location:
On the edge of Triana and right on the river bank, the Abba Hotel is about 10 minutes from the shopping district and 20 from the main monuments. It's also a shortish walk over to the old Expo site, the Cartuja and Isla Magica. Easy to get to by car and parking is quite reasonable at 13.91 euros a day, but it's on a first come first served basis.
Bedrooms:
Try to get a room with a river view – on the other side of the hotel you'll be mostly overlooking Triana rooftops. The executive suites have fabulous terraces, though they could use a bit of greenery and more than one poky table with two chairs. But the standard doubles are quite nicely done out with all the basic amenities, as well as a trouser press. Small pets are also welcome for an additional 21.50 euros per night, but you have to let the hotel know in advance.

Public areas:
There is a rooftop terrace with a small swimming pool that is also sometimes used for private parties or events, and a nice lounge area just inside the bar. A small internet work station is available across from reception and there is free WiFi throughout the hotel.
Eating and drinking:
The Abba Mía (here I go again) Restaurant serves Italian and international dishes. There's a nice bar with pretty river views, and an outdoor disco which sometimes gets a bit noisy.
Leisure facilities:
There is a gym and spa area that is included, with a Turkish bath and jacuzzi and lovely river views. Massage is available on request and guests get a discount at the Pilates Wellness studio next door.
