A refreshingly affordable spot in the heart of the Financial District.
Only opened a few months ago, this new hotel from the Hyatt group is already very popular, not surprising considering Manhattan’s continuing need for affordable, stylish, and user-friendly options (WiFi, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages as well as local telephone calls are all free). Nothing here from the aesthetics to the atmosphere is over the top and that’s exactly what makes it so attractive, it does what it promises very well I think.
Location:
Right in the heart of the city’s business area and as far downtown as you can be.
Bedrooms:
Catering to its business clientele, rooms are kitted out with state of the art technology - the desk doubles both as a media center and a dressing table, and one switch lights range in settings from “work” to “nightlight”. They are also very spacious with high ceilings, lots of light and a simple palate of white with wood tones. The higher the floor, the better the view.

Public areas:
The Hyatt has taken some boutique hotel features like a communal living room feel and made it feel welcoming and un-intimidating - you can hang out for business meetings or relax with a glass of wine after hours.
Eating and drinking:
The locally-sourced restaurant Wall & Water has good simple food and the Bar Seven Five has become the traders' watering hole after the stock market closes.
Leisure facilities:
A well equipped gym, spa and meeting rooms keep the business crowd entertained when working and when they need to chill out.
