Charming b&b in Chiaia, Naples, with a little bit extra.
The b&b is in a great location and Maria Luisa is a fabulous hostess, whose mission is to ensure that even first-timers have a good Neapolitan time. She's confident that single travellers, especially women, will have a positive experience.
Location:
Chiaia is a lovely, lively area full of bars and restaurants, and B&B Chiaia is just over the road from the fabulous Da Dora restaurant. But the real USP here is the service: Maria Luisa makes every effort with the extras.
Bedrooms:
With names like Pulcinella and Pompeiana, the two doubles and a twin have a bit of a Neapolitan theme going on: rooms are bright, clean and air conditioned, and the Pompeiana has a little balcony (though overlooking the street with just a bit of a sea view). There are also a few apartments (with kitchen and living room) as well as the possibility of spending a night on a boat.

If the weather is fine, breakfast is served on a charming little terrace with panoramic views (otherwise inside or, if you prefer, in your room).
Service:
Free internet (though not wireless), a fridge full of free beer/yoghurt/fruit, free national and local phone calls (Italy), free Skype and, if you're a first-timer and feel you need a bit of help with Naples, Maria Luisa can arrange that too (she recently arranged for two young English-speaking Italian girls to take two American couples around the city for the whole day – for around 100 euros).
