‘Lush’ and ‘stylish’ describes this tucked-away sweetheart of a hotel.
The approach to the hotel is through a residential area, and it’s not until you drive under the grand stone arch at the entrance that you realise what a delight you’ve arrived at. Step-by-step, through reception, bedroom and gardens, you discover a lusciously extravagant hotel with warm touches of the east.
Location:
The hotel is a ten-minute drive from the beaches of Moraira, an attractive resort that still has some of the tiny, twisting alleyways reminiscent of an old fishing village.
Bedrooms:
Luxuriously elegant, all the thirty-six rooms have a terrace overlooking the swimming pool and gardens. Most of them are beautifully decorated Standard Doubles, but go one step up, to a Superior Double and you will find yourself with either a lounge or a whirlpool bath. (I know which I’d choose; I have a lounge at home, I don’t have a whirlpool bath!) If you want the full luxurious Monty with a Jacuzzi you have to ask for a Lux, which will then have to be confirmed by the management. Rich fabrics, warm woods and subdued decoration; they are made for romantics. With the hotel being in a quiet residential area you can be assured of a good night's sleep.

Public areas:
An attractive lounge is next to the bar, and there is a patio area around the pool. The well-designed gardens are filled with exotic plants.
Eating and drinking:
La Punt restaurant is refined dining at its best and specialises in high-quality regional cuisine, with locally caught fresh fish an important part of the menu. There is a well-chosen wine list, which is constantly updated.
Leisure facilities:
A beautiful swimming pool is wonderful for splashing in before spreading yourself out on a lounger to soak up the sun. The spa, with its teak floors and granite walls, is small but well appointed, and a delight to relax in. It has a sauna, Jacuzzi and bio-thermal showers. You can book a massage, and the small menu of treatments includes the tempting Chocolate and Orange Delight and the Magic of Wine. If you feel energetic there is a tennis court.
Service:
The staff are personal, friendly and unobtrusive.
