Expert review of Sadigo Court
It’s easy overlook this little gem given its size and the fact that as you look towards the ocean its neighbours, giants such as The Setai and Shore Club, tend to dominate the skyline. But I thoroughly recommend the Sadigo Court, a quaint little retreat from the South Beach insanity.
Along 20th Street and several blocks back from the Atlantic Ocean, but still close to Lincoln Road shopping and several theatres and the convention centre. Finding a street parking spot right by the hotel can often be tough.
Some studio rooms have courtyard views, which are preferable to a lookout on the street, while the one-bedroom suites are much more spacious and have sleeper sofas in the living area. At ground level, French doors open to the garden/patio. All rooms have kitchenettes. The décor is bright and all rooms have dark wooden floors.
The garden courtyard is a haven, the perfect place to sit and read a book or snooze the afternoon away in a hammock in the shade of a tree.
For those whose batteries need recharging, breakfast with a newspaper in the courtyard garden is a rejuvenating experience. A good continental breakfast is included and it’s only a few dollars for eggs and omelettes. There’s home-style cooking in the evening and a limited room service menu.
There’s a Jacuzzi in the garden for taking a quick dip.
The hotel takes pride in its staff working together as a family. Service is exceptionally good.
Laid back couples and groups seeking a restful experience or just somewhere quiet to chill after a day on the beach. Wedding parties.
Free WiFi throughout and breakfast is inclusive. Street parking runs to $20 a night.
