A mini-village by the sea
El Rodat describes itself as a Hotel-Village-Spa, and indeed it is. The Hotel is the grand mansion, classically elegant, while the twelve private villas with their hedged gardens look out over the village green with its two swimming pools, one just the size for children. The hotel accommodation is built in terraces that settle into the well-maintained gardens, full of pines, palms and bougainvillea, with the aromas of jasmine, rosemary and lavender perfuming the air. The two- and three-bedroom villas have no minimum rental period, and are ideal for families or anyone looking for privacy. They are fully equipped, including a well-organised kitchen, although room service is also available from the hotel. They each have a terrace as well as the garden, and garden furniture for making the most of the sun but maintaining your privacy.
Location:
In a private estate on the edge of Javea, but only a short drive from the beach at Arenal.
Bedrooms:
Most of the rooms are Junior Suites, spacious, with lots of light. Soft colours, plump sofas, (which can also convert into a sofa-bed), and curtains surrounding the bed, that can be closed to create a romantic island separate from the rest of the suite. Each of the suites have their own terrace (as do the Gran Suites), and the standard rooms open onto a small patio that leads directly onto the gardens. All the rooms are a slight distance from the reception building, which avoids the hustle and bustle of visitors coming and going.

Public areas:
Lawns, pools, gardens and a large lounge all give a sense of space, where you can be part of the ‘mini-village’ life without feeling intrusive or intruded upon.
Eating and drinking:
El Rodat restaurant is presided over by Ivan Grau, one of the Valencian Region’s most regarded chefs, despite his youth. The greater proportion of the menu is made up of regional cuisine with a touch of originality, using the best local produce where possible.
Leisure facilities:
The wonderful Rodat Spa offers a wide range of treatments for chaps as well as the ladies. You can put yourself in the experts hands for a Thai massage, try an acqua-café massage (a massage using cinnamon and then a coffee hydrotherapy bath) or try a cicuit de baños, Turkish, spa, pools and a pounding under powerful water jets. The hotel has its own private tennis and paddle courts, swimming pools, and can arrange sub-aqua diving and boat hire.
Service:
Unobtrusive but attentive.

High rollers and the slightly famous who want refinement and pampering. Well-to-do families who like to enjoy life’s little luxuries while knowing the kids are safe and well.
