Smart but intimate, glass-fronted modern hotel in the heart of Girona’s city centre.
Larger hotels can so often feel impersonal and faceless but this is anything but. I really like the way they’ve managed, with classic Catalan flair, to make a grand-scale, modern, urban hotel feel human, warm and intimate as well as stylish.
Location:
Right in the centre of the new town. There’s a good choice of shops with the usual major brands as well as good, independent boutiques and specialist shops and the old town is about ten minutes’ walk away. You’re also very close to Girona’s main bus and train stations.
Bedrooms:
85 generously-sized rooms with even more generous bathrooms and comfy beds made up with top-quality 100% Pakistan cotton sheets and designer bedding. Mostly done up in chocolate browns, beiges and whites.
Rooms facing away from the main square outside tend to be the quietest, although none are noisy.
There are also inter-connecting family suites as well as three Junior Suites and one main Suite.

Public areas:
The reception area feels unusually warm for a hotel of this size with a fun mural of Girona and warm browns and deep reds. Otherwise, restaurants and bars as below.
Eating and drinking:
Breakfast is either a buffet in the ‘Green Patio’ garden restaurant - ‘El Pati Verd’ – a conservatory-style redonda overlooking the central gardens with formal lunch or dinner options
or the more ordinary cafe/restaurant.
There’s also the ‘Viena Piano Bar’, complete with grand piano for evening drinks and cocktails.
Leisure facilities:
Meeting rooms for up to 450 people.
Service:
Super-efficient and friendly. Very impressive. There also specially adapted rooms for guests with restricted mobility.
