For the rock star lifestyle on the beach, you need look no further.
In the current Cape Town boutique hotel scene, and from a contemporary, James Bond-esque angle, it doesn't get any more swish than this sleek property. Pod was designed by one of the city's most well-known architect firms and created with comfort and swankiness in mind - this is the kind of jet-set spot well-heeled internationals will love. What I love about Pod is that it really is another ultra-stylish world of its own. It's situated a road away from the Camps Bay strip which means once you're there, you can walk to and from your favourite eateries and the beach, and once you're back in your sexy pod, er pad, it's back to that world where everything is beautiful and stylish and you are the star of the show.
Location:
Just a road away from Victoria Road with the beach on one side and a plethora of bars and restaurants on the other.
Bedrooms:
Each of the individually decorated bedrooms is a celebration of the joy that minimalist style and sleek materials and finishes can bring. Textured elements keep things from being too stark. Some of the rooms have gorgeous sea views and plunge pools too, others enjoy mountain vistas.

Public areas:
A sultry well-clad lounge and adjoining pool terrace is a central meeting point for guests.
Eating and drinking:
Currently only breakfast is served although plans are afoot for a lunch and dinner service. A selection of light eats is available on demand and reservations at local eateries are happily made.

The sexy pool terrace means that sun worshipping doesn't have to happen on the beach.
