I have to admit that although I enjoy the one-on-one personal service a boutique hotel or guest house offers, I also enjoy the anonymity that this aparthotel allows. Situated on Green Point's buzzing Main Road, a stone's throw from Cape Town Stadium and minutes from the city, this fully-serviced suite hotel has all the swank and none of the small talk. The suites are spacious, come fully equipped and, if you're feeling social, there are eateries and street-level or rooftop bars to choose from. It's ideal for people who prefer to chill out in private (families, business travellers) and who enjoy the freedom that an apartment brings.
Location:
The aparthotel is central and close to both sea and city - both are, in fact, five minutes either way.
Bedrooms:
Suites range from Deluxe Suites at 65 square metres to the impressive 220 square metre, four bedroom Presidential suite. There are 95 suites in total. They're dressed to impress in contemporary style, with textured and quality fabrics thrown in for good measure. They are elegant and easy on the eye.

Public areas:
With its elegant seating pockets, the enormous central lobby serves as lounge and informal meeting area. The upstairs pool deck is a popular summertime venue.
Eating and drinking:
Most of the action happens in 1800° Grillroom which also offers in room dining and 24-hour room service should hunger strike.
Leisure facilities:
The rooftop pool is smallish. There is a well equipped on-site gym and the Equinox spa eases out any travel aches and pains.

The service is eager to please but can be patchy.
